What judges say: |
"Great cooperation, as both parts blend seamlessly. Some of the girl is a bit too blurred. Excellent work on the leaves.",
"Strong initial impression. There's problems with the construction and rendering of the face and hands, but the composition is successful and guides the eye to the right places.",
"Teddy won't celebrate christmas. haha. original. Well chosen motif. Perfectly composed. Great one. Perfectly matches the topic of this compo. Also, the proportions of face, hands and little teddy are well done. Unfortunately the picture isn't perfect in technique. It lacks details on larger surfaces such as the girl's jacket and the hands. Additionally, the poor colorizing (especially jacket and hands again) makes some parts look pretty artificial. nice picture anyway."

Creator's comments: |
"Well if you want my impressions, I'd say it was cool and I'll probably do it again.
My partner (NewAlpha/RGB) was a nice guy and very comprehensive.
I was some kind of "dictator", and somebody normally constituted would have told me to go and piss off. :)
Actually I didn't want to lead the project but we were short on time
(VERY SHORT! Next time add at least 2 extra weeks) and things had to be decided fast.
So I often had to make choices and fortunately my partner agreed and even added big improvements to my original ideas.
So the result is really a combination of our ideas.
Of course I've always let him the right to refuse and propose a better idea,
but if he had refused something, we wouldn't have the time to finish.
Even if we agreed quite easily on each other's choices,
it took more than 3 weeks before we got the final layout of the picture
and only one week remained to finish drawing.
We managed to come with a quite "finished" version although I still see a few areas
that could be improved (probably my perfectionist side :)).
Anyway, the first thing I told to my partner was that I didn't especially want to win,
but I wanted to be satisfied with our picture.
Now, I can tell that I am quite satisfied. :) (X-Man)"
